A SPECIAL THANK YOU to our VBS staff for their hard work, patience and dedication to make our Rainforest Explorers VBS a success, especially in figuring out creative solutions to carry on in spite of COVID 19. Thank you also to everyone who donated supplies. The children had a great time learning about how Jesus leads the way for us!

HELP ABC with their school supply needs. This year in addition to our usual supplies, we will need extra supplies for sanitizing, etc. You’re invited to take one or more of the cards from the board in the front lobby, purchase the exact items listed and return them to the church by August 24. ABC PRESCHOOL is looking for a part time teacher’s aide. This position would be 20 hours per week during the school year. If you’re interested, please contact Kim Neubauer.

LADIES AID will meet this Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the social hall. Pastor Knaack will present the topic. Please remember your mites. All ladies welcome!

THE WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY will meet online this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. You can join by clicking the link on our website. We still have a couple copies of the book, Ladylike, available for $12 each in the church office.

OUR RESCHEDULED Bi-annual voters meeting will be held Tuesday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. Items on the agenda include board reports and an update on the canopy repair project. If you are a voting member and will not be able to attend, please call the church office to be excused.

RAIN FOREST VBS is this week for all kids age 4 through 6th grade. This year VBS will be from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 2-Thursday, August 6. Cost is $5.00 per student with a family cap of $10. You can register online at our website, call the church office or pick up a form in the front lobby. We’re looking forward to a great week!

OUR CHRISTIAN LOVE and sympathy is extended to the family of Marilyn Hjermstad who passed away last week. A graveside service for the family was held yesterday. We pray that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will grant them peace and rest from their sorrow.

TUESDAY MORNING Bible study is taking a break until September.

ALL YOUTH in grade 5-12 are invited to join us for a hot dog roast and games on Tuesday, July 28 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. back by the fire pit.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Worship services are at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. with Bible Class between services. You don’t have to sign up in advance but some of the other protocols are still in place. Masks are strongly encouraged until you are in your pew. Temperatures will be checked at the door and you will be asked to sign in. You can sit where you want in the sanctuary as long you observe the social distancing guidelines (only sit in the pews with green tape and avoid getting too close to your pew neighbors). Extended family and friends who ride together can sit in the same pew. Communion will be at 10:30 a.m. on the first and third Sunday and 8:00 a.m. on the second and fourth Sunday. Live stream will continue at the 8:00 a.m. service. All this is assuming that the governor doesn’t “dial back.”
