Key aspects of the LCMS perspective on Sunday School teachers:

Essential Role in Discipleship: Sunday School is seen as a foundational ministry for making disciples, helping individuals of all ages learn to think and act like Jesus.

Nurturing Faith: Teachers are encouraged to help students study God's Word, pray, and learn about God's character and actions.

Age-Appropriate Instruction: Sunday School provides a structured way for children and youth to receive age-appropriate Christian education.

Example for the Congregation: Teachers are called to be examples in their faith, speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

Resources and Training: The LCMS offers resources and training to support teachers in their ministry, including curriculum selection, lesson planning, and classroom management.

Facilitator Role: Teachers are not just lecturers but also facilitators who guide students in exploring and understanding God's Word.

Parental Involvement: The LCMS also encourages parents to be actively involved in their children's faith development at home.
