SUNDAY SCHOOL’S lesson for this morning is “A Judge Leads.” God called Gideon to lead His people against their enemies. They triumphed even though they were outnumbered and without even lifting a sword. Discuss ways God can use even small groups of people to accomplish great things.

THE PARK RAPIDS AREA COMMUNITY BAND will present a concert today at 3:00 p.m. at the High School Auditorium. All are invited to attend.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY will be starting a home in Park Rapids on Tuesday, November 19. All kinds of help is needed from building to providing meals and snacks for the workers. DO YOU LOVE to sing Christmas songs? We would love for you to join our Christmas Choir this year. Rehearsals are on Wednesday from 6:00-6:30 p.m. and continue every Wednesday until our Christmas program on December 22.

WE’RE preparing to send Christmas packages to our Adopt-A-Chap, Vince Bain, in Kuwait. Please check the sheet by the office to sign up for requested items. Then bring them to the church by November 24. Thank you!

IT’S TIME again for our silent auction basket fund raiser. Look for a sign-up sheet in the social hall. You may bring your baskets for bidding on Sunday, November 24. The auction ends Sunday, December 15. The baskets make great Christmas gifts!

JOIN US for Thanksgiving worship services Wednesday, November 27 at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, November 28 at 9:00 a.m. “Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good.” 

BLESSED are the volunteers, for without them, what would we do? I’d like to thank everyone who volunteered to work registration, serve or provide snacks, and especially those who donated blood during our blood drive on November 4 and 5. There were 117 donors who were able to successfully donate for a total of 147 blood products. This wonderful outcome could not be accomplished without the help of our volunteers and donors. TOYS FOR GIRLS, BOYS AND TINY TOTS: The Evangelism Board is again coordinating a gift collection for this community-wide event, but we will be doing it a little differentl. Like previous years, there are red and green ornaments on the tree in the church narthex which offer some gift suggestions for different age groups of girls or boys, or you can come up with a gift idea of your own. The blue ornaments are for specific children and list gifts each child requested. If you take a blue ornament, please return it with the gift so we know what child it should be delivered to. Drop off unwrapped gifts to the box under the tree at church by December 8.

SUNDAY SCHOOL’S lesson for this morning is “The Land at Last.” After wandering in the desert for 40 years, the Israelites are about to enter the promised land. Throughout this time God provided for them and lead them. Ask your children how God leads and cares for us today. 

OUR CHRISTIAN LOVE and sympathy is extended to Sam and Jan Pike and family as they mourn the death of Jan’s sister, Gloria Kostuch. We pray that Christ would grant them peace and rest from their sorrow.

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS book club starts tomorrow at noon in the youth room. Since there’s so much interesting stuff in this book we’ll meet for six weeks instead of four as originally planned.
